Jimbaran Hijau together with RajaLari.id announced the implementation of the “5K Sunset Trail Run” activity which will be held on Sunday, June 19, 2024.
This event was held to support Bali as host of the 10th World Water Forum, with the aim of strengthening cooperation between business, government and society to achieve sustainable development and environmental goals.
This activity was also attended by Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, as Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, and supported by several other stakeholders such as the Ministry of Home Affairs, Center of Excellence of Smart City (ASECH), API Institute, and sponsors who
support sustainable development and environmentally conscious areas .
Sandiaga Uno said that this activity was a brilliant idea to promote sports & sustainable tourism.
“Related to the issue of erosion of culture and environment in Bali, this activity is expected to be an example for conducting more responsible tourism,” said Sandiaga Uno. ‘Quality, Sustainability, and Responsibility’ are three words from Sandiaga Uno to describe the Jimbaran Hijau area.
Agung Prianta, as the CEO of Jimbaran Hijau, and also the host of this event revealed “Here, participants can take a break from the air-conditioned room, from wearing suits, and can enjoy the scenery and landscape here. Hopefully, through
this activity, it can awaken leaders and the community to be aware of sustainable development and the environment, and hopefully the Jimbaran Hijau Area can be an example for this for the sake of Bali remaining glorious, safe, and its nature preserved,”.
The event was attended by hundreds of participants consisting of children, families, and tourism stakeholders. Participants enjoyed the sensation of running approximately 5 kilometers around the Jimbaran Hijau area.
Starting from the Jimbaran Hub point, participants ran by enjoying the stunning sunset at Locca Seahouse and Puri Baghawan, followed by a green landscape setting in the Natadesa Resort Residence area, and returned to the starting point of the run.
More than just a run, this event is a celebration of a healthy lifestyle and a way to enjoy the natural beauty of Bali by
showcasing the landscape of the area that cares about sustainable development and the environment.
By holding the “5K Sunset Trail Run”, Jimbaran Hijau, ASECH, together with RajaLari.ID hope to inspire more similar activities that prioritize quality, sustainability and responsibility in every aspect of tourism in Bali .
This activity is also an important moment to show the world that Bali is ready to be an excellent host in international events, especially those that focus on environmental issues and sustainable development.
